Customizing your Client Portal

In this article, you’ll learn how to customize your client portal to offer your clients a seamless customer experience that goes hand in hand with your business brand and needs.

The client portal gives each of your clients a personalized, secured portal where they can interact with your business, view upcoming bookings, make payments, message you and much more.

Editing your client portal

Your client portal can be fully customized with colors, media and actions, so you can be on brand, all the time.

Here’s how to use the Client Portal Editor to customize your Client Portal:

Step 1: Go to Online Presence > Client Portal.

Step 2: Click the Edit Client Portal button.

Step 3:  Use the right-hand side Settings pane to customize your portal and create attractive calls-to-action.

Using the settings pane, you can do any of the following:

  • Set up your Business profile and About texts.

    Tip: Use these to tell your clients more about your business
  • Add and modify Action Buttons which are linked to scheduling, payments and more.
  • Edit the Theme colors and images
  • Add your contact & social media info
  • View, copy or customize your client portal URL (more below)

Step 4: When you are done customizing, click Done Editing to save your changes.

Customizing your client portal URL

You may want to give your client portal a professional look and feel with a customized URL.

Here’s how to customize your Client Portal URL:

Step 1: Click on Online Presence > Client Portal

Step 2: Click the Customize button next to your current URL.

Step 3: Choose from two customization options:

  1. Customize your free URL: Click in the address box to add any text of your choosing to the end of your URL, for example, your business name. Click Done to save your new free URL.

    Tip: Use this option If you want a more personalized link, but would still like to use the free URL we provide.
  2. Connect your own domain: To connect your own domain follow the steps below.

    Tip: Use this option if you want even greater control over the branding of your client portal.

Connecting your own domain

To connect your own domain follow these two steps:

Step 1: Set a CNAME record on your domain registrar

First you need to setup a CNAME record pointing to

A CNAME Record includes 3 fields:

  • Name 
  • Value 
  • TTL (Time-to-Live)
For example, if you want to set the Client Portal domain to be, you will use: Name: www, Value:, TTL: leave as default or change to any value you desire
Note: You can replace "www" with any subdomain of your choice. For example, if you want to use, change the Name field from "www" to "live".

Step 2:  After setting the CNAME record, return to the same location in your account.

Step 3: Type the full domain for your Client Portal in the address bar shown above, and click Save.
